Unlocking Success: Our AWS Cloud Backup Journey with N2WS tool

Customer Challenge:

Portal generates a significant amount of data every year including Candidate records, administrative information, and more. Data backup , managing and storing this data securely and efficiently on-prime was a challenge. They have experienced hardware failure previously & data center outage in their past. Due to this candidate being troubled many times filing the same form again and again & this led to significant loss in data integrity and sometimes complete data loss. If this challenge was not addressed that time will impact its User Trust & Reliability.

The workloads rely on vast datasets within Amazon RDS. The challenge was to create a robust backup strategy that ensured data integrity and met compliance requirements. Moreover, this strategy needed to be executed during a window when no updates were occurring, minimizing any potential disruption.

Their applications were hosted in AWS Infrastructure and console permission was not permitted to the employees due to certain compliances.

For Business Continuity and daily operational needs, manual and automated backups were required. One GUI console needs to be in place which shows the details of backups and other related details to let the employees know the details of Application backup without entering into the AWS console. Plus the cost is a concern for the customer which was reduced to a significant number by using the N2WS tool.

To resolve the Backups monitoring and tracking Insphere suggested one solution to use the N2WS tool for better planning of backups. N2WS automates backup processes, allowing organizations to schedule regular backups and take backups manually as well by looking at the GUI console which is provided by the N2WS tool.

Solution:

N2WS solution helps in Monitoring dashboards for tracking and Backup purposes. N2WS provides dashboards that show information about Last backup, S3 backups and many more features to handle cross-cloud as well.

The employees were not technically sound to handle the AWS console and due to multiple working shifts backup details must be in place to let the employees know all the details around the manual and scheduled backups. For this main reason, we introduced N2WS .

The N2WS stores the data incrementally rather than full snapshots to save the cost incurred and archive the data to S3. It ensures continuous availability and reliability with nearly minimum and zero RTO. It also archives the data into S3 and schedules non-critical resources to automatically stop during off hours.

We have implemented the N2WS from the AWS marketplace and added one backup policy at N2WS to support the requirements of the client. By introducing N2WS into the value chain client was able to
