Implemented a Landing Zone
for Jindal Steel & Power Workload

Implemented a Landing Zone for Jindal Steel & Power WorkloadSuccessfully migrated multiple server workloads from on-premises to Google Cloud Platform, addressing challenges related to downtime and high costs. The new infrastructure is now more scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

The challenge

The client hosted their workloads on-premises earlier and seeks to migrate (multiple Application & Databases) them to the GCP Cloud. Managing the scattered resources become challenging to the client. In the past they were facing scalability issues. They were experiencing downtime at the time of configuration, high hardware costs, underutilize resources, hardware failures, and data integrity risks.

The solution

The solution involves creating a structured landing zone on GCP to migrate the client multiple server applications and databases to the cloud. We organized the workload into Production, Non-Prod, and Network Hub environments, ensuring clear separation and secure management of workloads. Also, we have optimized all the machines on cloud after accessing the on-prime infra server’s utilization.

The result

The setup improves resource utilization, enhances security with centralized network management, and supports future scalability. By transitioning to GCP, the client addresses their previous challenges of frequent downtime, high costs, and data integrity risks, resulting in a more reliable and cost-efficient infrastructure.
