Implemented a Landing Zone
for Jindal Steel & Power Workload

Implemented a Landing Zone for Jindal Steel & Power Workload. Successfully migrated multiple server workloads from on-premises to Google Cloud Platform, addressing challenges related to downtime and high costs. The new infrastructure is now more scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

The challenge

The client hosted their workloads on-premises earlier and seeks to migrate multiple applications & databases to the GCP Cloud. Managing scattered resources became challenging. They faced scalability issues, downtime during configuration, high hardware costs, underutilized resources, hardware failures, and data integrity risks.

The solution

The solution involves creating a structured landing zone on GCP to migrate multiple server applications and databases to the cloud. We organized the workload into Production, Non-Prod, and Network Hub environments, ensuring clear separation and secure management of workloads. All machines on the cloud were optimized after assessing the on-premises server utilization.

The result

The setup improves resource utilization, enhances security with centralized network management, and supports future scalability. By transitioning to GCP, the client addresses previous challenges of frequent downtime, high costs, and data integrity risks, resulting in a more reliable and cost-efficient infrastructure.
